Workshop on Introduction to PCB Design and Fabrication

About the Course

PCB stands for Printed Circuit Board. This workshop introduces students to the industrial process of PCB Designing and teaches them how to use an ECAD software to design an electronic circuit and further process it for fabrication. Students are taught to use chemical processes to get the PCB fabricated on a copper clad board keeping in mind the various safety precautions necessary while dealing with the various PCB chemicals.

This workshop starts from brushing up the Basic Electronics concepts and how to use an ECAD software for converting a conceptual circuit to a ECAD file. Students get to see and understand in detail - the etching process; etchant composition ratios; how to drill the pcb after etching and cleaning is done; finally how to solder components onto the PCB.

Eligibility

This workshop is open to anyone and everyone, having an interest in rapid prototyping. The workshop is intended for Grads, School Students, Designers and Hobbyists interested in learning the process of fabricating electronic circuits of their own from ECAD designs.
